Capt. Henry Allen Wetselline

Funeral services for Henry Allen Wetselline were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday , May 9, 2008 at Glorietta Baptist Church with Rev. Emerson Falls and Rev. Marilyn Bread officiating. Burial followed at Lumpmouth Family Cemetery in Geary. Services were under the direction of Turner Funeral Home in Geary. An all Night Wake Service was also held on Thursday, May 8 at Glorietta Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
He was born on February 23. 1985 in Roosevelt Utah to Philip and Elaine (Kodaseet) Wetselline and passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 23.
He was a graduate of Shawnee High School in 2003 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He spent four years active duty at San Diego, Calif., stationed at Miramar, and spent an eight month tour of duty in Al Taqaddum, Iraq. In July 2007, he was honorably discharged from active duty , as a Cpl and had earned the Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal, the United States Marine Corps Good Conduct medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Iraq Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the National Defense Service medal, USMC letter and certificate of appreciation, and Expert Rifle Badge.He and Raceen Butler were married on August 25, 2006 in McLoud, OK. He resided in Oklahoma City with his wife Raceen and daughter Aurelia and was attending Oklahoma City Community College where he was majoring in psychology. Henry was the type of person that always put his family and friends first, and he was very protective of them especially his brother and sisters Jon, Dana, and Charlotte. He could put a smile on anyone’s face no matter the situation. He was always very dependable and believed that you were only as good as your word, in believing this he always kept his word. He was enrolled with the Apache Tribe as well as Cheyenne Arapaho Tribe of Oklahoma. He was a very respectable son, a loving brother, a devoted husband, and a wonderful father. He will be missed by so many.
He is survived by his wife, Raceen Wetselline and daughter, Aurelia Lyn of the home; his mother, Elaine Marie Matanane and step-father Juan Matanane of Shawnee; his father, Philip Allen Wetselline of Carnegie; grandmother Charlotte Lumpmouth of Geary; grandfather, Gary Kodaseet of Oklahoma City; grandmother Iris Walker of Anadarko; sisters, Charlotte Wetselline-Pollard of Moore, Dana Matanane of Shawnee; brother, Jon Matanane of Shawnee; niece, Erika Pollard and nephew Elijah Pollard of Moore; aunts, Francine Williams of El Reno, Teresa Murray of Geary, Darla Kennedy, Mona Wetselline, Katherine Walker, and Cheryl Wetselline of Anadarko; uncles, Mike Kodaseet, Kevin Kodaseet, Gordon Wetselline, Scott Walker, as well as numerous cousins, other relatives , and many friends.
Preceding him in death were his great grandparents, Frank and Katherine Nina Kodaseet, great grandparents, Henry and Susie Wetselline, grandfather, Glenn Walker, great-grandparents, Jimmy D. Lumpmouth and Flora Geary, and two cousins, Zachery Two Lances Kodaseet and Frank Anthony Williams.
