PLAINVIEW, TX — Daisy Louise Strohm, 94, of Plainview, Texas, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, in Lubbock, Texas.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Longdale Community Church in Longdale, Okla., with Pastor Ray Schoonmaker officiating.

Burial will follow in Longdale Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview, Okla.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday evening, Feb. 15, 2013, at Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview, Okla.

Daisy was born July 19, 1918, to Pearl and Albert J. Martin, near Homestead, Okla.

She graduated from Longdale High School in 1936, and attended business college in Oklahoma City.

She married George Arnold Strohm April 12, 1941. They lived in Wichita, Kan., from 1942 to 1964. They returned to Longdale, Okla., in May 1964.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Carl Martin and Harold Martin; and two sisters, Leona Parent and Lucille Vernay.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Hughes and husband Chris of Williams Bay, Wis., and Janet Teague and husband Terry of Plainview, Texas; four grandchildren, Jeff Hughes and wife Jenice, Greg Hughes, Carrie Harris and husband Paul, and Kelly Smith and husband Ryan; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
