The funeral for Thomas Lane Stanley, 74, of Longdale, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Longdale Community Church. Pastor Ray Schoon
maker will officiate. Burial will be in Longdale Cemetery. Arrangements are by Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Ames to Lloyd Perry and Mary Elnora Gibson Stanley and died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at his home.

He worked 40 years in the oil fields.

Surviving are one daughter, Yvonna Carlton of Summerville, S.C.; two sons, Lyndell Stanley of Longdale and Michael Stanley of Canton; one brother, Carl Stanley of Clearwater, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one sister and two grandchildren.
