 Yevonne V. McFarland, 80, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017, in Longdale, OK. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Longdale Cemetery. Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, is in charge of arrangements.

Yevonne Smith was born on August 22, 1936 to Wallace R. Smith and Dessie V. Smith in Cleo Springs, OK. On May 2, 1953 she married Jesse McFarland in Enid, OK.

Yevonne and Jesse resided in Enid where they owned A-1 Plumbing and Heating. Yevonne spent many years as Secretary for the business. In 1979 they moved near Canton Lake where they built, owned and operated Louie's Bypass Bar and Grill until approximately 1995.

Yevonne was a homemaker the majority of her life, raising three boys. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Yevonne was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jesse; her parents Wallace and Dessie; brothers Walter and Bobby; sisters Avice, Norma, Reba and Winnie Mae; She has left behind to cherish her memory three sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Lisa of Enid, OK, Steve and Tonya of Tyler, TX and Dusty and Pam of Enid, OK; brothers Truman Smith and wife Pauline of Mustang, OK, Wally Smith and wife Doloris of Stillwater, OK and Neal Smith of Frasier Park, CA; sister, friend and caretaker Nedra Smith of Des Moines, IA and sister-in-law Shirley Smith; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Yevonne's name to Hospice Circle of Love with the funeral home acting as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724. Per Yevonne's wishes there will be no public viewing. Condolences may be made online at www.piercefuneralhomes.com
