Linda Coffey
(April 23, 1945 - October 31, 2016)

Funeral services for Linda Sue Coffey, 71, of Canton, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Canton with Pastor Travis McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow in Longdale Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK.

Linda Sue (Slape) Coffey was born April 23, 1945 at Fairview, OK to parents Everett Henry and Martha Marie (Seiger) Slape. She departed this life on Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home.

Linda graduated from Fairview High School with the class of 1963. She married Johnny Lee Coffey on June 30, 1963. Linda worked at Waldon, Inc. for a number of years and also cooked at Canton Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton. Linda enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren, sewing, helping at church and baking bread. She touched the lives of many people around her with her smile and hugs.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; survivors include her husband, Johnny Coffey of the home; son Duane Coffey of Enid, OK; daughter Melinda Schoonmaker and husband James of Longdale, OK; three grandchildren, Justin Schoonmaker and wife Noemi of Weatherford, OK, Shania Schoonmaker and boyfriend Mack Wood of Longdale, OK and Amanda Schoonmaker of Longdale, OK; brother Gene Slape and wife Marian of Seattle, WA, brother Dean Slape and wife Marie of Chesapeake, VA, sister Marie Milligan and husband Dan of Canton, OK, brother Dwight Slape and wife Betty of Fairview, OK, sister Cathy McNulty and husband Joe of Yukon, OK and brother Jody Slape of Commerce City, CO; sister-in-law Trilla Belyue and husband Jesse of North Plains, OR; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
