The graveside service for Charles "Gene" Coffey, 64, of Canton, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, in Longdale Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Twyman officiating.

Charles Eugene Coffey was born Nov. 23, 1945, in Watonga, to Frank and Gladys Benson Coffey, and died Friday, June 25, 2010, in Enid.

Gene was employed by U.S. Gypsum for 18 years.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting for morel mushrooms. He served his country during Vietnam in the Army.

He married Marcia Featherston April 17, 1971, in Visalia, Calif.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lonnie Coffey.

Survivors include daughter, Deborah Coffey-Glover of Fairview; son, Charlie Coffey of Canton; seven grandchildren, Brittnee Coffey, Brooklyn Coffey, Dominic combs, Patricia Glover, Danita Glover, Laci Glover and Abigail Glover; one great-grandson, Dylan Hogue; one brother, Johnny Coffey and wife Linda of Canton; one sister, Trilla Belyeu and husband Jesse of North Plains, Ore.

He will be remembered by many friends and relatives.
