Carroll Thomas Thompson was born May 19, 1911 in a dugout on the family homestead west of Leedey, Oklahoma to James Peters and Rosa Lee Mills Thompson. He passed away June 19, 1998 in the Kingfisher Regional Hospital in Kingfisher, Oklahoma at the age of 87. On May 19, 1934, he married Thelma Lillian Dean in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and they moved to Geary in 1941. Carroll farmed south of Geary until his retirement. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Geary, Oklahoma.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, James Peters and Rosa Lee Mills Thompson; his wife Thelma Lillian Dean Thompson; an infant daughter, twin grandsons, two grandsons; two sisters, Jessie Garnend, and Susie Bollinger.

He is survived by three sons, Forest Thompson and his wife, Barbara, of El Reno, Oklahoma, James Thompson and his wife, Beverly, of Savoy, Texas and Douglas Thompson of Watauga, Tennessee; six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Services were at the First Baptist Church, Monday, June 22, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at Geary, Oklahoma. Officiating were Rev. Calvin Walker, Rev. Darrell Campbell, Rev. Virgil Cornwell with burial in the Geary Cemetery, Geary, Oklahoma under the direction of the Turner Funeral Home.
