Mary Jane (Steed) Teal

November 2, 1905 ~ January 23, 1996

Watonga – The funeral for Mary Jane Teal, 90, will be at 11 AM Saturday at the Union Baptist Church. Juanita Parks will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery under direction of Russworm Funeral Home.

She was born November 2, 1905, in Texas to George and Ozeana Steed and died Tuesday, January 23, 1996, at Wildwood Manor Nursing Ctr., Oklahoma City. She attended high school at Waggoner.

She married John Teal at El Reno. They lived in Watonga for many years. She belonged to the Church of God in Christ at Watonga.

Surviving are four daughters, Mary Harris and Johnna M. Teal, both of Oklahoma City, Deborah Teal of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Mary Delores Johnson of Edmond; one brother, Ellsworth Steed of Atoka; three sisters, Salitha Beatty of Kansas City, Missouri, Rebecca Bellinger of Madera, California, and Unice Lyons of Pittsburg, California; and a number of grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and three sisters.
