Lori Martin
(November 27, 1972 - September 26, 2015)

Lori Lee Martin departed this life on September 26, 2015 in her home. She was born on November 27, 1972 and was a lifelong resident of Canton. On August 8, 2009, she was joined in marriage to Dustin Martin. To that union they had one child, Brody Jake, who was joined by an older sister, Lynsay Coulson, and a brother, Joseph Paul, who passed away in 1999. Lori worked many years as a nurse in Okeene, Enid, and later in Fairview. Lori devoted her life as an R.N., helping people and caring for the sick. In 2008 she was awarded an Excellence in Nursing Practice as the employee of the year while at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid. Lori had a passion for life and was extremely devoted to her family. She celebrated every day and encouraged her family to do the same. She is survived by her husband, Dustin, son Brody, daughter Lynsay, her sister Christie Schakelaar and husband Terry, her brother Justin Hysell and wife Bridget, her mother, Linda Hysell, uncle Orville Abshire, father-in-law Dusty Martin and wife Sherrie, brother-in-law Brandon Martin, sister-in-law Rachell Hall and husband Jason, nieces and nephews; Destiny, Conner and Taylor Martin, Claire and Kyah Hall, Caden Koehn and Ryan Hysell, Brooke Lantz, plus many other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph, grandmother Audrey Abshire, grandfather Dick Abshire, uncles Robert & Jerry Abshire. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Canton Christian Church with Steve Driskill and Pastor Ray Schoonmaker officiating. Interment will follow in Eagle City Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK. Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
