Canton – A graveside service for Jerry Wayne Abshire, 47, will be 10 AM Wednesday in Eagle City Cemetery. Don Foster will officiate. Arrangements are by Haigler Funeral Home.

He was born March 24, 1952, at Thomas to Dick and Audry Chain Abshire and died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at El Reno.

He attended schools in Seiling and Canton, graduating from Canton high school in 1970.

On May 19, 1972, he married Faye Weber at Canton. He worked for U. S. Gypsum Plant, Houston Edsel, TXO and for the past several years has operated his own business as a contract pumper in the oil field.

Surviving are two sons, Christopher of Amarillo, Texas, and Keith of the home in El Reno; Faye Weber of Watonga; his mother, Audrey Abshire of Canton; two brothers, Robert of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Orville of Canton; and one sister, Linda Hysell of Canton.

He was preceded in death by his father and a great nephew.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice.
