Shirley Jean Platt
(March 6, 1938 - February 13, 2012)

A Memorial Service for Shirley Jean Platt, age 73, will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sheila Combs-Francis officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

Shirley was born to Joseph and Vada Laden on March 6, 1938, in Enid, and passed away Monday, February 13, 2012, in Enid.

Shirley attended school at Peckham, Carrier, and graduated from Hayward High School in 1956. On June 23, 1957, she married Francis Platt. They resided in Enid. Shirley worked as a caregiver for Home Health Care.

Shirley is survived by daughter Kellee Platt, of Enid; son Scott Platt and wife Jami, and three grandchildren, Madison, Rachel, and Jonathan Platt, all.of Gilbert, Arizona;

She was preceded in death by husband Francis Platt; parents Joe and Vada Laden, brother-in-law Larry Platt; grandparents Albert and Lula Marquis; uncle and aunt Hollis and Zella Thomas; and cousin Anita Wright.

Memorials may be made to New Hope UMC.
