Velma Wilder
(March 3, 1933 - February 7, 2015)

Funeral services for Velma Wilder, 81, of Longdale, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Canton Christian Church with Steve Driskill officiating. Interment will follow in Cherryvale Cemetery east of Canton under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Velma Joy (Maske) Wilder was born March 3, 1933 near Fay, OK to William and Edna Mae (Morris) Maske. She departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Fairview, OK.

Velma attended school at Watonga, OK. She married Alfred Russell Wilder on November 19, 1949 at the Lutheran Church in Watonga.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred Wilder, Sr.; one son, Alfred Wilder, Jr.; two granddaughters, Dawn Faye Fee and Miste Rannaye Foster; two grandsons, Jerry Justin Barker and Theodore Alfred Walker Tedder; Survivors include five daughters, Alfreda Joyce Yelm of Longdale, OK, Loretta Kay Kluckner and husband Alva of Custer City, OK, Judy Darlene Horstman and husband Terry of Erick, OK, Terry Lynn Vowell and husband Mitchell of Canton, OK and Jackie Sue Cheney of Longdale, OK; one daughter-in-law, Tracy Wilder of Watonga, OK; nineteen grandchildren; forty-three great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William T. Maske and wife Eleonore of Lawton, OK; Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
