MARTHA JEAN SCHOONOVER

A graveside service for Martha Jean Schoonover, 71, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cherryvale Cemetery, east of Canton. Steve Driskill will officiate. Arrangements are by Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

She was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Fonda to Eugene Victor and Frances M. Harr Pierce and died Friday, June 1, 2007, in Enid.

She married Tommy Allen Schoonover May 3, 1953.

Surviving are two sons, Lester Thomas Schoonover of Longdale and Allen Eugene Schoonover of Jenks; four brothers, Vernon Pierce of Loffland, Nev., Edward Pierce of Eufaula, Mark Pierce of Red Box, S.D., and Allen Pierce of Southard; one sister, Lydia Roper of Seiling; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy, and one sister.
