David Lee Autry

The funeral for David Lee Autry, 53, of Canton, will be 2 p.m. today, June 20, 2007, at Canton Christian Church with Steve Driskill and Pastor Barak Giles officiating. Interment will be in Cherryvale Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

David was born June 30, 1953, in Okeene, OK to Roy and Mary Autry and died Sunday, June 17, 2007, in Fairview, OK.

He enjoyed the outdoors, camping on the river, fishing and football. He graduated from Canton High School in 1971 and attended Okmulgee Vo-Tech studying heat and air.

David and Debbie were married June 7, 1985. He worked at Coast to Coast in Fairview for many years, then started his own heat and air business in Canton. He continued operating his business for 15 years after his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and fought bravely until he became completely disabled in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Autry, of the home; two sons, David Cullen Autry of Norman, OK and Marcus Tad Autry of the home; one brother, Tom Autry and wife Wilma of Watonga, OK; and stepfather, Art Huenergardt of Fairview.

He was preceded in death by his paren ts, and one brother, Jimmy Lee Autry.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Russell-Murray Hospice of Kingfisher, OK.
