Jimmie Terrill, 70, Canton


He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home ; three daughters: Charla Throckmorton and husband Mark, Wichita, Kan., Deborah Pitcher and husband Rob, Amarillo, Texas, and Pamela Rodgers and husband Kenneth, Texas; one son, Jay Terrill and his companion Karen Siggard; his brothers and sisters: Hattie McDonald, LaJunta, Colo., Amy Arebalo, Alva; twins Donald Jay Terrill, Alva, and Donna Mae Denny Lockhart, Amarillo, Texas, and Geraldine Benson, Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Joey Pitcher, Shellie Grippe, Jamie Pitcher, Christy Ledford, Skylar Terrill, Jamaica Terrill, Trey Rodgers, Colleen Rodgers, and Kayleen Rodgers; great-grandchildren, Brett and Brianna Grippe, Brianne Pitcher, and Makenna Ledford; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with burial following in the Canton Cemetery under the direction of Haigler Funeral Home Inc.

JIMMIE MAX TERRILL


The funeral for Jimmie Max Terrill, 70, will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Canton. Burial will be in Canton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Haigler Funeral Home Inc., Canton.

He was born Sept. 7, 1934, on a farm northwest of Teagarden, in Woods County, to Jacob and Lena White Terrill and died Thursday, June 30, 2005.

He attended school at Farry, graduating from high school in 1952.

He married Patricia Moore April 16, 1955, in Alva. He signed with Santa Fe railroad on a three-year apprenticeship program at Waynoka in 1955. They lived in Waynoka, Clovis, N.M., Topeka, Kan., then back to Waynoka. He worked 30 years for Santa Fe. He also worked for Delford-Inman Trucking Co., hauling cattle, and Permian Oil Co., hauling crude. They moved to Canton after his retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia, of the home; three daughters, Charla Throckmorton of Wichita, Kan., Deborah Pitcher of Amarillo, Texas, and Pamela Rodgers of Texas; one son, Jay Terrill; brothers and sisters, Hattie McDonald of LaJunta, Colo., Amy Arebalo of Alva, twins, Donald Jay Terrill of Alva, and Donna Mae Denny Lockhart of Amarillo, and Geraldine Benson of Wichita; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
