Isiah T. Posey

Isiah T. Posey was born in Collin County, Texas October 15, 1889. In later years he came to Oklahoma. He was married to Miss Alice Lena Hanna at Sayre, Oklahoma, November 2, 1909 and to this union three children were born.

Mr. Posey obeyed the gospel and united with the Church of Christ when a young man of 18 years and he lived a useful Christian life.

He had lived in the Reydon community for 34 years and his many friends will miss him greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Posey of the home address; one daughter, Mrs. Mattie E. Scrivner of Newton, Kansas; two sons, Travis L. and Calvin H. Posey of Beuna Park, California; thre grandchildren, also six sisters and three brothers and many other relatives and friends.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A place is vacant in our home, that never can be filled.

Services were held Thursday, December 4, 1947 from the Community Building at Reydon, Oklahoma, with Fatheree Funeral Home of Erick in charge of arrangements. Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
