Lola Bell French

Lola Bell French was born December 11, 1897 near Ardmore, Indian Territory to Inez and Will J. Roberts and passed away April 11, 1995 in the Sayre Memorial Hospital at the age of 97 years and 4 months.
She moved with her parents in 1905 to Texola before moving to the farm north of Sweetwater. She married Jessie Glen French on July 22, 1923 in Carter, OK. They lived in Colorado and Kansas and moved back to Sweetwater in 1928 to make their home.
She was a member of the Sweetwater First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son Glen, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
She is survived by 1 daughter and son in law, Lola Bell and Jim Elliott, Clovis, NM; 3 sons, Alvie French, Fisher, LA, Ralph French, Calvin, OK and Ray and Margie French, Jacksonville, FL; 1 sister, Gladys Lewis, Tahlequah, OK; 9 grandchildren; 2 sisters in law, Pauline Roberts, Sweetwater, OK and Stella Roberts, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 1995 at the Sweetwater First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. C.R. Tucker, and assisted by Rev. Ed Wrather. Interment was in the Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home.
