Funeral services for Ronald Edward Bradford were conducted at 2 p. m, Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at Peace Lutheran Church. Services were under the direction of the Baggerley Funeral Home of Edmond.
Ronald Edward Bradford was born September 22, 1946 in Alva to Otis and Lucille Bradford and died March 8, 2002 at the age of 55.
He wads raised in Elk City where he attended school graduating from Elk City High in 1964. Ron was a graduate of Central State University in 1968 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration. He served in the United State Army from July 1969 through July 1971, and received several medals and honors. He served a tour in Vietnam until his honorable discharge in 1970. Ron then married Katherine E. Shones in September of 1972. They moved to Lewisville, Texas where he established a business supply company. He later soled the company and returned to Edmond where he has since made his home. Holding the position of Sr. Auditor, Ron was employed with the Oklahoma Tax Commission since 1985. He was active in the home-building business and built several houses in the metro area.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otis E. Bradford.
Survivors include his mother, Lucille Bradford of Edmond; his wife, Kay Bradford of Edmond; three children, Ronnie Bradford of Edmond, Katie Bradford of Edmond, Ron Martin of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother, Roger Dean Bradford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Odessa Knight of Broken Arrow, Linda K. Lee of Edmond and one grandchild.
