Onita Bartz was born in Arkansas May 4, 1895 and died May 2, 1960 after two weeks of serious illness. For about 27 years she made her home in the Sweetwater community, however for the past few months she had lived in California.
She was a member of the Primitve Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Della Mae Ford of Elk City; one son, Leroy Laney of Los Angeles, California; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildre; 4 brothers Lonnie Hamon, Santa Rosa, New Mexico; Johnnie Hamon of Empire, Oregon and Earl Hamon of Twin Oaks, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Lillie Hill, Kingfisher, Oklahoma and Bessie Wheeler of Hartley, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bartz in 1945, also preceding her in death were one sister and two brothers.
H. P. Elliott of Hammon conducted the funeral services on Wednesday, May 4, 1960 at the Reydon community building. Committal was in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
