Funeral services for Myrtle Barker will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Whinery-Savage Chapel. Burial will be at Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service of Elk City.

Mary Myrtle Barker wsas born April 27, 1922 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Mary Ellen and Charley Pinkney Barker and died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Clinton at the age of 83.

Myrtle graduated from Meridian High School and in the early 1940's she moved to Menlo Park, California. She later lived in Redwsood, California beforfe molving to Hydro in 2001 and to Elk City in December 2004 to make her home. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for a number of years.

She attended the Hydro First Christian Church.

Survivors include one sister, Ruth York of Elk City, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
