The below information furnished by Jean Whiteneck

Probably Elk City Daily Newspaper about Nov. 1947  obtained from Savage Funeral Home by Jean Beals Whiteneck for her records in 2007.  Handwritten note on obit:  28 Nov."47 F 

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Savage Funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Alvin Houser of the Christian Church for W. B. Fitzgerald of 524 South Main street.

He had been ill for several years and died in a local hospital on Nov. 19 at the age of 40 years, 7 months and 18 days.  He was born in Denison, Texas on April 1, 1907.

He moved to Elk City in 1928 and has resided here ever since.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Fitzgerald, his daughter, Mrs. Floretta Weatherly and grandson, Pat of Muskogee; two sister, Mrs. T. J. Wagoner of Denison, Texas, Mrs. Edith McCaslin of Muskogee; one brother, R. P Fitzgerald of this city and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a former wife (my note:  Floreen Lee Smith) and two children.

Burial will be made in the Merritt cemetery under the directions of the Savage Funeral home.
