Pauline Eloise (Whitley) Hunt

Pauline E. Hunt was born September 7, 1917 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Jesse and Walter Emmett Whitley. She passed away February 21, 2015 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 97 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Pauline moved with her family to Carter, Oklahoma as a child. She later moved to Sayre were she met Elmer S. Hunt and they were married on September 9, 1932 at Berlin, Oklahoma. They made their home in Sayre where she worked at the Seventh Street Grocery and raised her family. Pauline had a special gift for remembering her friends and family's birthdays and anniversaries and made it a point to send them card or take the time to make a phone call on that day.

Pauline was a long time member of the Sayre Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Dewey M. Hunt.

She is survived by her children, Lavonne Robinson of Sayre, OK, James Randall Hunt of Lameda, TX, Janis Campbell of Sayre, OK and Billy Russell Hunt of Buford, GA; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends.
