Lillie Mae Stancel was born on November 9th, 1926 in Moorewood, OK. She died at the age of 94 on March 29th, 2021 in Midwest City, OK.
 

Born Lillie Mae Reiner to Paul and Ida (Hunter) Reiner. She was the 7th of 12 kids.

She attended school in Moorewood and Hammon.
 

She married her High School sweetheart Clarence Randolph Stancel on May 17th 1943 in Wheeler, TX.  After moving around a lot in their younger days they settled in Elk City, OK where C.R., as he was known, worked in construction.  Lillie spent a few years as a waitress but devoted most of her life being a homemaker and raising their 3 children.
 

After the death of her husband in 2008 she devoted her time to her yard and her flower garden which were the envy of the neighborhood.  She enjoyed playing her harmonica and would entertain friends and family.  She attended the Assembly Of God Church and loved to sing old time gospel music.


Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, all 11 of her siblings, her husband C.R., her son Wayne and her son-in-law Lee Edward Schones.
 

She is survived by 2 daughters,  Reva Schones of Mustang, OK and Darla and her husband Richard Wagnon of Clinton, OK, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of other friends and family.


Services will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 in the Whinery Chapel, Elk City.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday, April 2, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery following the funeral services.
