Constance Arthurene (Bruton) Sprowls

Constance Arthurene Sprowls was born in Palo Pinto, Texas on May 30, 1918. She attended grade school in Oklahoma City and went to Elk City where she graduated in 1935 from Elk City High School. She married James Kenneth Sprowls after graduation on August 29, 1936. To that union they had one daughter, Sharon Sprowls Reed and husband, John A. Reed, who reside in Oklahoma City. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Rhonda Clure, one grandson, Richard Reed, and a great granddaughter, Megan Clure, and a sister, Marveta Weaver, of Oklahoma City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Bruton, sister, Joelene Guthrey and two brothers, Charles Bruton and Frank Bruton.

She was long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Elk City and active in the women's society. She was also a charter member of Chapter DY of PEO.
