Funeral services for James M. Singleton will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Assembly of God church with Rev. Joe Calabrese officiating.

Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery, Elk City with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Singleton was born December 25, 1889, in Heflin, Alabama, and died Saturday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

He moved to Jackson county in 1913 and was married to May Nonella Smith in Elmer, Oklahoma, where they lived until 1920 when they moved to the Hammon area.

Nine years later, they moved to Elk City where they had lived ever since.

Mrs. Singleton preceded him in death in 1964.

He was a member of the Assembly of God church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Opal Creswell of Oklahoma City; three sons, Jack and Bill of Amarillo, Texas; and Pete of Marysville, California; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Harney of Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. Cora Hall of Dallas, Texas; and Mrs. Ethel Gentry of Oklahoma City; one brother, John E. Singleton of Riverside, California; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous friends.
