Jerry Stinson Simmons was born July 11, 1929 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Jessie Elizabeth and James Melville Simmons. He passed away September 12, 2017 at Moore, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 1 day.

Jerry graduated from Elk City High School and Sayre Junior College. He was married to Eutha Elizabeth (Penick) at Elk City, Oklahoma on June 27, 1958. They lived in Elk City where Jerry continued working for Public Service Company. They moved to Clinton and then to Lawton before moving back to Elk City in 1980. They returned to Lawton where Jerry retired after 54 years in 2001. They moved to Moore, Oklahoma in 2002 to make their home. Jerry loved reading, working on his computer, and traveling to religious lecture ships. He was also a member of the Barnes Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eutha; sister, Sue Dennis; brother, Keith McCall; 1 grandson and 1 great granddaughter.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Juanita Noakes and husband, Kirk, Elk City, OK and Jeannie Jobe and husband, Ted, Moore, OK; 2 sons, James Cupp, Elk City, OK and Michael Cupp, Moore, OK; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
