Thomas Rhodes "Tom" Pixton

Thomas Rhodes Pixton was born February 17, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee to
Delores Evelyn (Dubois) and William Greer Pixton. He passed away May 08, 2018 at
Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Tom was in the Methodist Boys Home from the age of 9 years old. He graduated
from high school in Ruston, Louisiana and continued his education at Louisiana
Tech where he received his bachelors degree. Upon receiving his degree he
obtained his law degree at Tulane University. Tom practiced law in Louisiana and
eventually moved to Oklahoma where he was offered a job at the District Attorney
office in Beckham Country. He worked diligently there in the child support
office and eventually opened his own law office in 1990 and continued until his
health forced his retirement in 2017. Tom practiced law in Louisiana and
Oklahoma for 40 plus years. In the little spare time that he had he enjoyed fly
fishing, collecting model trains, lighthouses and other "duda's" and spending
time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home; 4 children, Thomas Pixton, Jr.
and wife, Kimberly, Oklahoma City, OK, Tonya Englund-Pixton and husband, Mats,
Stockholm, Sweden, Cheryl Mayfield, Elk City, OK and Cindy Mayfield and husband,
Robert, Elk City, OK; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great
grandchild on the way; special nieces, and a host of other relatives and
friends.
