Marilyn Beth Morris was born January 6, 1934 in Marion, Kansas to Mildred Edna (Childs) and Howard James Richmond. She passed away December 17, 2018 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 11 days.

Marilyn grew up in Marion, Kansas where she graduated in 1952 from Marion High School. She was married to Lonnie Morris on September 6, 1953 at the Cloud Chief Methodist Church in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma. After their marriage they moved from Lawton to Elk City in 1954 and lived there until her death. Marilyn worked for Chickasha Cotton Oil Co., Kelly Dairy, Heritage Saving and Loan and United Fund of Elk City as a book keeper and secretary. Marilyn also did volunteer work at the Carnegie Library, The Thrift Shop, The Route 66 Museum and Meals on Wheels. She also served on many church committees and in her Sunday school class. Marilyn enjoyed playing Bridge, making cards and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonnie; 2 sisters, Frances Helmer and June Weatherbee and 1 brother, Kent Richmond.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Mickey Morris and wife, Patty, Longview, TX and Steve Morris and wife, Dana, Leedey, OK; 3 grandchildren, Michael Morris, Lesleigh Morris and Tanner Morris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family suggest instead of flowers, memorial donations be made to the United Methodist Women or Meals on Wheels. Services are under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
