Billy Ray Maddox

Billy Ray Maddox was born July 7, 1944 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Ella Dell and Louis Jeff Maddox. He passed away May 11, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 4 days.

Billy grew up in Elk City and graduated in 1962 from Elk City High School. After graduation, he was married to Wandean (Williams) Maddox at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 31, 1964. They made their home in Elk City while Billy attended Elk City school of preaching. They moved to Chickasha where Billy was a radio broadcaster and also worked as a salesman for radio advertisements. Billy and Wandean later moved to Seminole, Oklahoma for a few years before moving to Norman to make their home. Billy enjoyed watching the University of Oklahoma football, watching his daughters soccer games and spending time with his children, grandchildren and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Tommy Earl Maddox.

He is survived by his wife, Wandean, Norman, OK; 3 daughters, Kellie Duvall and husband, Ron, Tulsa, OK, Kristie Birchler and husband, Keith, Huntingburg, IN and Jessica Boggs and husband, Scott, Yukon, OK; 4 grandchildren, Sylvia Birchler, Mollie Birchler, Gage Boggs and Carter Boggs; 1 sister, Karon Barnett and husband, John, Elk City, OK; 2 nephews Scott Barnett and wife, Kim, Elk City, OK, Randy Barnett and wife, Amy, Weatherford, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
