Jennifer Karel "Jen" "Jenny" Johnson
1973 - Mar 2021
Posted by Jo Aguirre

Whinery Funeral Service
Sayre, OK
(permission granted)

Jennifer was born 12 years after the others. She was both a surprise and the biggest blessing. She was born to Seth and Ruth Johnson and had 3 siblings, Ricky, Cindi and Deana. Since the rest of her siblings were much older, they took on a more protective role of their little sister. Jennifer (Jenny or Jen as she was often called) captured our hearts from the very beginning. She had more obstacles in life than most but was very strong despite limitations and forged forward to graduate from Mansfield High School in 1995. She attended Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) where she made many friends and was a member of Calvary Monterey Church in Monterey, CA. Jenny loved without boundaries. She was always so happy to spend time with family. She loved to sing and could dance a jig. She was quite the adventurer and traveler as she was constantly on outings in CA and traveling back and forth to Oklahoma to see her parents, siblings, nieces, nephew and great ones too. Jennifer loved her brothers-in law and boy, they loved her back with constant teasing and laughter. (a little spoiling too!)

Jennifer loved Jesus and it is so comforting to know that the second her Spirit left her body, she was welcomed with open arms into Heaven by Jesus. We know that Heaven gained a beautiful Spirit and she is singing and dancing with absolutely no limitations.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, Seth and Ruth Johnson, her siblings and their spouses, Rick and Lindy Thur, Jim and Cindi Shaw, Don and Deana Howard; Nieces, Megan Thur, Rachel Bivans, Dana Redden, Beth Richmond, Hannah Donwell; Nephew, Jacob Howard; Aunt, Glenna Pickett and 3 Great Nieces and 2 Great Nephews. Jennifer was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Aunt Floy, Aunt Kay, Aunt Beth, Uncle Gene and Uncle Harold.
