Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sharon Crabtree-Nutt, age 69, of Oklahoma City will begin at 10:00 am Monday, June 18, 2012 in The Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Ingram officiating.  The family will greet friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street, Norman, OK. 

Sharon was born on June 17, 1942 in Elk City, OK the daughter of John Amos and Grace Irene (Burks) Crabtree.  She passed away early Friday morning June 15, 2012 in the home of her daughter, Cindy Cook, after a six year vigilant fight with breast cancer.

Sharon was raised in Elk City and attended the Merritt Schools graduating from Merritt High School in 1960.  After her high school graduation she immediately began a career with the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company remaining with them for ten years before moving to Kansas in 1972.  Sharon returned to Oklahoma in 1974 moving to Stillwater, Oklahoma where she enrolled at Oklahoma State University.  In 1975 she returned to Elk City where she continued her education enrolling at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford,Oklahoma.  While in college, Sharon worked for the Safeway Grocery Store during the day and the Quality Inn Restaurant during the evening.  From 1980 to 1983, Sharon owned and operated her own Del Rancho Restaurant, later focusing on a career with Combined Area Telephone Directory.  Sharon continued in this role until 1986 when she moved to Oklahoma City continuing her advertising career with the Yellowbook Advertising Company.  In 1994 Sharon moved to Salineville, Ohio continuing her career in advertising until being stricken with breast cancer in 2006.  Later in 2011, Sharon moved to Oklahoma City to be close to her daughter and remained here until she passed away this past Friday morning.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Cindy Cook and her husband Rick of Oklahoma City; one brother, John Crabtree and his wife, Jane of Elk City; five grandchildren, Sevin Gallo and her husband Damian of Cleveland, Ohio, Jimmy Cook and his wife, Christin of Oklahoma City, Rickey Cook, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Kayla Cromwell and Savannah Cromwell both of Independence, Kansas; and three great grandchildren, Marco Gallo, Carolina Gallo and Leila Gallo. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Jim Cromwell on January 14, 2010. 

Graveside services will begin at 3:00 pm, Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. 

Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Mary Sharon Crabtree-Nutt to Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Arrangements for Sharon and her family have been placed in the care of the Vice Family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
