Elk City – the funeral for Amel Buller Jr., 73, will be 10 AM Friday in Whinery – Savage Funeral Service Chapel. The Rev. Ridge LaMar will officiate. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.

He was born February 29, 1928, in Goltry to Clara and Amel Buller Sr. and died Monday, November 26, 2001, at his home in Elk City.

He lived in Enid before moving to Elk City. On July 9, 1973, he married Mary Frances Sparks Shelly at Wheeler, Texas. They lived in Elk City. He had worked at Parkersburg 66, the Phillips 66 at I 40 and US 66 for 28 years. He retired in 2000.

Surviving are his wife, Mary of the home; one daughter, Judy Dickerson of Enid; one son, Mikeal David Buller of the home; three step daughters, Mary Lee Shelly and Vikki Shelly, both of South Carolina, and Sharon Robertson of Denver; two step sons, Roy Shelly of Lexington, North Carolina, and Sammie Shelly of South Carolina; one sister, Verna "Tootie" Burris; one brother, Robert; and several grandchildren and great – grandchildren.
