Jerry Dean Brinkley was born May 27, 1957 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Geraldine and Tom Troy Brinkley. He passed away January 8, 2014 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 11 days.

Jerry grew up in Elk City and attended Elk City schools. After leaving school he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as a Navy Seal and completed one tour in Vietnam from 1972 to 1976. After an honorable discharge he returned to Elk City where he went into the oil field and worked as a roughneck and a derrick hand. In 1983 he went to electronics school where he graduated first in his class and obtained a job with Rainbow Bread Company working as a technician on their computers until his retirement in 1989. Jerry enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 grandson, Damen Michael Brinkley; 2 sisters, Sharon Kay Talbot and Rosalyn Kay Brinkley; 1 brother, Tommy Brinkley.

He is survived by his 4 children, Jackie Dale Williams, Broken Arrow, OK, Dallas Tiffanie McCallum, Edmond, OK, Sarah Elise Brinkley, Edmond, OK and Joshua Daniel Brinkley, Elk City, OK; 3 grandchildren, Chloe, Justin and Jamison; 3 brothers and 5 sisters, Arnold Fanshier, Michael Fanshier, Teresa Mahan and husband, Danny, Tammy King, Sherry Brinkley, Scotty Brinkley, Paula Cooper, Pamela Lemons and a host of other relatives and friends.
