The funeral service for Raymond E Phipps, age 73 will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Jim Edmison will officiate. Burial will be held at 3:30 pm at the Erick Cemetery, Erick, OK.

Raymond was born September 21, 1936 in Shamrock, TX to Robert W and Daisy L (Shipman) Phipps and died June 20, 2010 north of Breckinridge. He graduated from Texola, OK. He attended Technical Training School in Oklahoma City, OK.

On November 1, 1958 he married Anita Taylor in Norman, OK.

He was employed for AMPI for 37 years and worked as Enid area manager, retiring in May 1998. He obtained many good driving awards while employed. He served on the Kremlin Town Board.

Survivors include his wife Anita, of the home; daughters, Beverly James and husband Mike of Enid, Lorrie Lewis and husband Brian of Pond Creek; son, Raymond Phipps of Lahoma; four grandchildren: Clint & Molly James of Tulsa, Michelle James of Stillwater, and Ashley and Kaylee Phipps of Lahoma, OK; half brother, Barney Sherman of Shamrock, TX and half sister, Elizabeth Lee (Phipps) Stiger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and half brother, Jeffrey Don Phipps.
