A graveside service for Anita Taylor Phipps, age 76, of Enid, is 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Erick Cemetery in Erick, Oklahoma, her home town. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Anita passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 in the presence of her family.

She was born January 22, 1939 in Erick, Oklahoma to William Taylor and Gladys (Reed) Taylor. She graduated from Delhi High School near Erick, then attended Draughon School of Business in Oklahoma City, where she met the love of her life, Raymond Eugene Phipps. They were married November 1, 1958 in Norman, Oklahoma at McFarlin United Methodist Church, celebrating 52 years of marriage before Raymond’s passing in 2010.
Anita was an avid reader. She also enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, and her parents.

She is survived by three children, daughter, Beverly Phipps James and husband, Michael Steven James of Enid, daughter Lorrie Phipps Lewis, of Enid, son Raymond Earl Phipps and wife Melissa, of Lahoma; four grandchildren, Clint James and wife Molly, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Michelle James, of New York, NY; Kaylee Phipps of Enid, Ashley Phipps, of Lahoma; two brothers, Kermit Taylor of Wheeler, Texas; and Lyndell Taylor and wife Beverly of Torrington, Wyoming.

Memorials may be made to The Enid Public Library or the Susan G. Komen Foundation with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodians of the funds.
