Henry Boyd Melton

Boyd Melton was born October 2, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Estalee Ruth and Homer Melton, Jr. He passed away October 14, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years and 12 days.

Boyd grew up in Red Oak, Texas where he attended school. He later began his career building houses, remaining in Red Oak until 1989 when he moved to Erick, Oklahoma to be near his brother and sister. Boyd continued working in construction until his health began to fail. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman Dale Melton.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Marie Dillinger, Waxahachie, TX; 3 grandchildren, a sister, Judy Simpson and husband, Tom, Shamrock, TX; a brother, Wayne Melton and wife, Karen, Erick, OK; his nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held October 17, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the Erick Cemetery officiated by Dr. Roger Sellars. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
