J. B. Barham, 56, of Sweetwater died Monday, November 6, 1989 at Sayre Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be in the Sweetwater First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre with burial in Erick cemetery.

Mr. Barham, son of N. B. Barham and Grace Barham, was born August 1, 1923 at New Liberty.

He married Carolyn Rush January 14, 1953 in Sweetwater. After their marriage they lived in Sweetwater and later Boys Ranch, Texas, then Erick, and back to Sweetwater in 1964.

He retired in 1984 from farming.

He and his wife traveled with the Jayco Travel Trailer Club.

He was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; one daughter, Linda Nabors of Shattuck; two sons, Dan Barham of Iran, Texas; and Jeff Barnham of Tulare, California; his father, B. K. Barham of Wheeler, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Anderson of Sweetwater, Oklahoma.
