Lila Ann (White) Reemts was born September 30, 1940 in Sioux Falls, SD to Maurice and Violet (Hovland) White. She left this earthly world on January 4, 2020 and was welcomed home by many.

Lila attended schools in Sioux Falls, SD graduating in 1958. She married Harold Reemts on October 4, 1958 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. They made their home in Rock Rapids until moving to Enid, OK. Lila was a waitress and cook most of her working years. She loved meeting and visiting with new people. Lila was always interested in medicine and in her later life became a CNA until injured on the job.   Lila was also an avid seamstress and put many yards of material through her machine.  She enjoyed making matching clothes for her family and sewed for her grandchildren.  She took on many challenging projects over the years including wedding dresses, a christening gown for her oldest granddaughter and a Santa suit that still lives on. Lila and Harold later parted ways but remained friends for their family’s sake until her death. Lila became a resident of Hensley’s Nursing home in 2016 and quickly became a favorite of the staff and residents. She had a quick wit and humor loved by all. Lila was baptized into the Baptist church in Sayre in 2017 and remained a member till her death.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents: Maurice and Violet White: 1 sister: Shirley White, 1 brother: Ronald White.

She is survived by 1 sister: Peggy Simmons of Casper, WY; 3 children:  Michelle Richmond and spouse David of Sayre, OK, Roy Reemts and Spouse Rachel of Chattanooga, OK and Marlis Vermilion and spouse David of Bowie Maryland, ex-husband: Harold Reemts, 5 grandchildren: Crystal Mckinney, Jon and Bridget Reemts, Lillie and Ryan Fulton, Jameson Vermilion and Leah Richmond.
