Jeton H (Hendrix) Luna

Jeton H. Luna, 81 years old, a resident of Santa Fe for over 55 years, passed away on September 27, 2017 following an extended illness.

She was born in Sayre Oklahoma on July 20, 1936.


She and her husband, Ernest Luna had been married 28 years. Her children and their families are: Shannon Sievers, her daughter Jacqlyn , son Justin with his wife Briana and their daughter Dakota; Larry and Rachelle Luna and their daughters Lisa and Leigh.  She is also survived by her niece, Lisa White, her husband Jeffrey and their son Austin.  Her son Leroy Luna passed away earlier this year.  His daughter is Glynna Shamblin who is married to James and they have a daughter Kiley.   Her sister and Brother-in-law are Marguerite and Michael Milligan. Her parents were Adlai and Kathryn Hendrix of Sayre Oklahoma. 

Her brother Adlai and his wife Norma Hendrix preceded her in death.  
 

Jeton was very active in Eastern Star, and held the high office of Grand Chaplain. She began as a Rainbow Girl in Oklahoma. She also enjoyed square dancing, and singing with the Sweet Adelines. Jeton began her working life as a secretary after attending Amarillo College in Amarillo Texas.   She rose to the Executive Secretary to the President of the School of American Research before retiring in July of 1996.
