Lucille Lowry

Lucille Lowry was born January 20, 1920 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Mamie Katherine and William Arnold Weightman. She passed away April 11, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 21 days.

Lucille grew up in the Hollis and Duke communities. She met Albert C. Lowry, Sr. and they were married October 15, 1937. They moved to Sayre and later to Dumas, Texas before returning to Sayre to make their home. Lucille enjoyed crocheting but her main "hobby" was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Lucille has been a member of My Father's House of Prayer since 1998.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Lonnie Lowry, and a daugther, Gayle Thetford, a granddaughter, Audrey Jones, a great great grand daughter, Kaleigh Lowry, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

She is survived by her children, Albert Lowry, Jr. and wife, Pat, Sayre, OK, Jerry Lowry and wife, Carol, Dumas, TX, Anita Ezell and husband, Mickey, Sayre, OK; 1 sister, Glenetta Pearl Conway, Sayre, OK; 21 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 65 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held April 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Rose Chapel officiated by Andy Taylor. Burial will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
