Billy Joe "BJ" Langford

Billy Joe (BJ) Langford was born February 26, 1930 in Collingsworth County, Texas to Lorene and Walter Langford. He passed away February 16, 2014 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 20 days.

BJ grew up in the Wellington community where he attended school. He was married to Joann Marie Birchfield Langford at Wellington, Texas on January 1, 1949. They lived in Wellington, Texas before moving to Fritch, Texas and later moved to Elk City, Oklahoma in 1979 to make their home. BJ owned and operated L & L Metals until ill health forced him to retire. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of the First Love Christian Fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 grandson, Bradley Joe Langford.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Marie, of the home; 2 daughters, Susan Hubbart and husband, Darrell, Elk City, OK, Sandra Creecy and husband, Dale, San Angelo, TX; 1 son, Kevin Langford, Elk City, OK; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
