Robert "Bob" Greene

Robert "Bob" Greene was born December 24, 1924 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Madiline Victoria and Earl Fonway Greene. He passed away April 1, 2014 at at this home at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 7 days.

Bob grew up and attended school in Sayre, Oklahoma. After leaving school he returned to work on the family farm. In 1947 he was married to Bonnell Hill and they made home on the family farm north of Sayre. To this union on 2 daughters were born; Sandra Lynn and Karen Sue. They continued to raise their family in Sayre and Bob farmed and operated heavy equipment. After Bonnell's death in September of 1974, he was married to Carolyn Marie Kopp and to this union 3 sons were born; Nolan, Lyle and Thad. Bob continued farming and being a bulldozer operator but all throughout his life he was a man that was devoted to the preaching of the word of God's kingdom. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed reading the Bible and discussing it with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, 1 daughter, 1 great grandchild and 12 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of the home; 1 daughter, Karen Price and husband, J. T., Sayre, OK; 3 sons, Nolan Greene, Lyle Greene and wife, Lacie, and Thad Greene and wife, Christa, all of Stillwater, OK; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
