Roy Leon Fetty

Roy Leon Fetty was born on November 2, 1923 in Griems, Oklahoma and passed
away September 13, 1990 in the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 10 months, 11 days.

Roy, the son of Bert Hanson and Lula Bell Fetty, married Mable Mabra on
September 29, 1945 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They were involved in farming
and ranching in the Dempsey and Erick communities before moving to Durha,
Oklahoma in 1969. After Roy retired in 1975, they moved to Sayre to make
their home. Roy was a member of the Sayre First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1969.

He is survived by: his wife, Mable of the home; 3 daughters, Shirley
Ratliff of Dumas, Texas; Dema Tabor of Oklahoma City; and Linda Umsted of
Oklahoma City; 1 son, Roger Dale Fetty of Chickasha, Oklahoma; his mother
Lula Fetty of Sayre; 1 brother, Delbert Fetty of Sayre; 5 sisters, Della
Bangs, of Truth or Consequence, New Mexico; Eunice Broyles of Grass
Valley, California; Pauline McFarland of Pagrosa Springs, Colorado;
Juanita Morrow of Arroyo Grande, California; Reta Wells of Reydon,
Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of other
relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 16, 1990 at 2:30 p.m. in the
First Baptist Church of Sayre. Bro. Ray Smart and Tom Cooksey officiated.

Interment was at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel
Funeral Services of Sayre.
