Beatrice Haas was born June 28, 1925 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Francis Lena and Arthur Smith. She passed away March 10, 2014 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 12 days.
 
Beatrice grew up in Sweetwater where she met Wilbert Samuel Haas and they were married on February 18, 1943. They lived in the Brinkman and Willow communities before moving to Sayre in 1945 to make their home. Beatrice loved to cook for her family and also enjoyed canning, sewing and quilting. She was a longtime member of Sayre First Baptist Church. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert Haas; 2 sons, Calvin and Billy Haas; a daughter, Linda Baker; 2 grandchildren, Chad and Jamie; 2 brothers, Glen and Royce Smith.
 
She is survived by her children, Sammy Haas and wife, Belinda, Elk City, OK, Bonnie Lowry, Sayre, OK, Jan Henson and husband, Greg, Sweetwater, OK, Jack Haas, Sayre, OK and Darryl Haas, Sayre, OK; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
Services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:30 pm at Rose Chapel officiated by Kendell Hamilton.

Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
