Bozarth Cemetery
aka Fairview Cemetery

Location: S24-T3-R27

This cemetery was near the Fairview rural school in which church services were held in the early days. The Fairview name sometimes applies to the present Bozarth cemetery. The name was changed in 1973. To reach this cemetery go north from Slapout to the “10 mile” road, go east one mile then north one half mile. It is on the west side of the road. A woman known only as Grandma Walls gave this land. The first to be buried there was a baby daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Shell Elam in 1914. There are several unmarked graves that are unknown to the present custodians. There are 24 known graves in this cemetery.
