B. C. Trentham

BALKO, Okla. - B.C. Trentham, 77, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Balko school auditorium with the Rev. Dwayn Isaac officiating. Burial will be in Balko Mennonite Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas.

Mr. Trentham was born in Wise County, Texas. He moved to the Balko area 15 years ago. He farmed and ranched at the T-T Ranch from 1975 to 1984. He was an undersheriff for the Beaver County Sheriff's office from 1984 to 1996, when he retired.

Mr. Trentham was a member of the Balko Lions Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Mennonite Brethren Church.

He married Irene Coston in 1943 at Tucumcari, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Trentham of Balko; two sisters, Dorothy Newbury of Brownwood, Texas, and Louise Dunshee of Logan, N.M.; and two grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Balko Education Foundation c/o Betty Baggett, Rt. 1 Box 102, Balko, Okla. 73931.
