This burial site is approximately five miles west of Daisy, Oklahoma, on the ranch of Benny Wyrick, III. It is not fenced and is in a densely wooded area. Due to the fact that it was canvassed in the fall, there was a heavy blanket of leaves on the ground preventing an accurate count of unidentified graves. We counted five, but felt there were probably more. There were six stones with names. It was canvassed November 11, 1980 by Ruth Williams and Gwen Walker.

Translation: God the father, who sent me has given me these and I would that not one be lost. But that they will continue until the last day, when all will be in that resurrection. What a great day that resurrection will be. No scripture reference made on this stone. We wish to thank Mrs. Mary Wesley of Antlers, OK for the above translation. This is "Old Choctaw", and very few can still translate it. Mrs. Wesley was 80 years of age when she did this translation. |
