Gerald Atchley Hewin, son of John Bell and Daisy (Atchley) Hewin was born May 20, 1941 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 24, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 4 days.

Jerry was married to Frances Patterson and to this union 1 son; Gregory was born. He enjoyed the duties that followed his role of being a very loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. He was a carpenter by trade.

He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Daisy Hewin, his wife; Frances Hewin and two brothers; Roger and Harvey Hewin.

Jerry is survived by a very loving family that includes his son; Gregory Hewin and wife Jennifer of Claremore, OK, 3 grandchildren; Lindsey Hewin, Jeremy Hewin and Whitney Hewin all of Claremore, OK. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Tuesday,July 28, 2015 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Eldon Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK
