Wynona Wynola Hogner
April 19, 1938 - November 23, 2008
Wynona Wynola Hogner was born April 19, 1938, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Chester and Josephine (Thornton) Whitmire. She passed from this life November 23, 2008, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, seven months and four days.
Wynona was married to Kenneth Hogner and together they had three children, Kenneth, Billy and Theresa. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed taking care of her family. She worked as a nurse’s assistant for Tulsa Regional Medical Center for 28 years and extended the same love and support to her patients as she did her family. Wynona was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her surviving family includes her husband, Kenneth Hogner, of Tulsa, OK; her children, Kenneth E. Hogner and Billy K. Hogner, of Tulsa, OK, Theresa and Brian Zinter, of Claremore, OK; one brother, Chester Whitmire, of Nowata, OK; five sisters, Polly Jo Dacy, of Seattle, WA, Rebecca Worthington, Elouise Whitmire, Euphamia Thompson and Agnes Chaney, all of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Jeremy Zinter, Brandon Zinter, Callie Hogner, Morgan Hogner and great grandson, Aaron Hogner. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.
Services were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at Old Green Baptist Church with James Farmer officiating. Interment followed at Old Green Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
