Betsy Ann Whitmire
March 30, 1916 - April 28, 2006
Betsy Ann Whitmire, 90, of Westville passed away Friday, April 28, 2006 at the Cherokee County Nursing Home in Tahlequah.

Betsy was born on March 30, 1916 in Chewey, OK., daughter of George Mounce and Susan Crittenden Mounce. She was the widow of the late Joseph "Jake" Whitmire. She was a home maker who enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family.
She attended the Old Green Baptist Church near Westville.
Betsy is survived by one sister, Emma Vann of Chewey. A host of nephews, nieces, and other loving family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and five brothers and sisters, Blue Swake, Rosie Wiley, Malinda Buzzard, Willard "Duke" Mounce and Leo Mounce.
Services were held at the Old Green Baptist Church on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Vinnus Hilderbrand officiating.
Burial followed at Old Green Cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
